As Featured in Women's Journal: How Blossom Dental Consulting Helps Dental Practice Owners Build Stronger, More Efficient Practices

When I started Blossom Dental Consulting, my goal was to help practice owners feel more confident leading the business side of dentistry, so they could spend more time doing what they love: caring for patients.

I'm honoured that this mission was recently featured in Women's Journal in an article highlighting the work we do with dental practices across Canada and the United States.

Great Dentistry Deserves Great Systems

Dentists spend years developing their clinical expertise, but very few are taught how to build the systems, leadership skills, and operational structure needed to run a thriving practice.

Over the years, I've worked with practices that have exceptional clinical teams but still struggle with communication, inconsistent processes, unclear expectations, or administrative bottlenecks. These challenges don't happen because people aren't working hard. They happen because growing a practice is complex.

That's why my work focuses on strengthening the foundation behind the scenes.

A Collaborative Approach

One of the things the article highlights is my approach to consulting.

I don't believe in walking into a practice and telling people everything they're doing wrong. Every team already has strengths, and every practice has its own goals, culture, and challenges.

Instead, I work alongside practice owners and their teams to identify opportunities, improve systems, strengthen communication, and develop practical solutions that everyone can embrace. Lasting change happens when people feel supported, included, and equipped with the right tools.

Supporting Leaders at Every Level

The feature also shares the story behind the Vancouver Dental Office Manager Study Club, which I launched in 2021.

Creating a community where office managers can connect, learn from one another, and access high-quality education has become one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Strong leaders create strong teams, and investing in the people who keep practices running every day benefits everyone from the front desk to the treatment room.

More Than a Feature

Being featured in Women's Journal is certainly an exciting milestone, but what means the most is seeing these conversations happening more often within our profession.

Practice management matters. Leadership matters. Team culture matters.

When those pieces are working together, dentists spend less time putting out fires, teams feel more engaged, and patients receive an even better experience.
